PEAMOUNT United have goals in their sights ahead of today’s (Wednesday) UEFA Women’s Champions League last-32 second leg clash in Paris.
The Peas need to overturn a 2-0 deficit to have any chance against a strong Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Charlety (4pm Irish time, LIVE on Eurosport).
Captain Louise Quinn faced the French media alongside manager Eileen Gleeson following Tuesday’s final training session at the stadium and insisted her side have not given up on the tie by any stretch of the imagination.
“We have always been confident – since before the game last week and again in the build-up to this game,” said Quinn.
“We are just going to take it on: we know we have nothing to lose and we are going to really push forward to get the goals. “We should have scored a few goals last week so hopefully we are going to get them this time. “I think everyone in the squad is just relaxed about what we have to do on Wednesday night.
“We have seen Paris now, had a good look around the city and than got a good session (training) under out belt at the stadium, so we are ready to go.
“We certainly aren’t as nervous as we were going into last week’s game, which I think can really be a good thing.”
